Significant Weather
A weak low pressure system, remnants of Tropical Cyclone Tam lies just to the west of the South Island, with rain about the Upper South Island easing to scattered falls, but some heavy falls are possible before dawn.
Expect occasional showers across the North Island, heavy falls and isolated thunderstorms are possible for the Eastern and Central North Island in the afternoon and evening.
